What started out as a controlled burn near Warden on Tuesday turned into a brush fire after winds fanned the flames. Firefighters from Grant County Fire District 4 and 5 responded to the fire along Road R Southeast, between Road 11 and Road 12 Southeast. Authorities say the fire grew to around 50 acres but did not threaten and homes or outbuildings. No injuries were reported.
