Authorities say it was a space heater that started a Royal City fire last Friday that killed an 85 year old man. According to Grant County Fire Marshal Bruce Gribble the space heater inside the travel trailer on Road 13 Southwest was too close to combustibles and the fire quickly engulfed the trailer. The Grant County Coroner’s office says Pedro Barajas Garcia died from inhaling products of combustion. The death is ruled as accidental.
