Soap Lake Police are asking residents whether or not the department should add a K-9 team to the force. According to a post on the department’s Facebook page the K-9 would serve a dual role of tracking suspects along with narcotics detection. The cost of the K-9 team would be paid for through community donations. The department has a poll posted on its Facebook page that will remain active through Wednesday.
