A appeal by the Quincy School District to a lawsuit over a 2012 school bus crash is denied. The suit was filed by the parents of three siblings injured in the crash on State Route 281 where an investigation determined the driver fell asleep at the wheel. The family was awarded $1.2 million. Lawyersargued for a new trial saying opposing counsel committed misconduct in closing arguments by introducing new evidence. The state appeals court found that did not prejudice the school’s case.
