Get ready for delays in the area of Route 24 and Bench Road near Othello where construction of a roundabout begins today. Officials say the $2.6 million project will require two complete closures of the intersection with the first expected to occur between Feb. 21-24 and the second in March to construct the roundabout center island, vehicle apron and splitter islands after sidewalk construction is complete. The speed limit will be reduced from 45 mph to 35 mph during the project.
