Congressman Dan Newhouse issued a statement following Tuesday night’s State of the Union address where House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi was seen on camera tearing up the paper copy of President Trump’s speech. Newhouse says Pelosi’s actions were disrespectful – not only to President Trump but to all of the American ideals he expressed to Congress and guests who were honored. He added that theyhave to find a way to heal the political division that plagues Congress and set an example for the American people.
