Schools Could Provide Menstrual Products

The state senate is considering legislation requiring school districts to make menstrual hygiene products available at no cost in all public school gender-neutral and girls bathrooms for those in grades six through twelve. Costs would be paid for by school districts but they would be allowed to seek grants or other funding. The bill has the support of nearly 20 lawmakers and if it is approved would take effect at the start of the 2021-2022 school year.
