School Vaccination Deadline Is Next Wednesday

Parents have until next Wednesday to have their children immunized in compliance with Washington requirements or they will not be allowed to attend classes. Last July a new law was signed meaning families can no longer opt out of getting the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine because of personal or philosophical reasons. There are still exemptions for religious and medical reasons. Last year a measles outbreak in Washington resulted in more than 70 cases.
