It was just two weeks ago when basketball legend Kobe Bryant came to Cashmere making good on a promise to watch Haley Van Lith play against Medical Lake. Van Lith had trained in Bryant’s basketball academy and Bryant reached out to her after his daughter noticed how well she did as a member of the U18 USA Basketball Team. Bryant took time to talk to the team and posed for photos. The 41 year old Bryant was killed Sunday in a helicopter crash.
