A man who fired on police in a 2018 Soap Lake incident takes a plea deal. Prosecutors say Alejandro Rodriguez pleaded guilty to reduced charges on Monday and they are recommending a nearly 35-year jail sentence. Police say Rodriguez opened fire on officers as they attempted to apprehend him on outstanding warrants. The plea bargain also includes a courtroom incident where Rodriguez attempted to grab an officer’s gun. A sentencing date was not set.
