Congressman Dan Newhouse issued a statement saying he voted against the war powers resolution limiting President Trump’s authority to take action against Iran. Newhouse said he will not support a War Powers resolution that weakens the American military or hinders our ability to fight against murderous terrorist leaders. The non binding resolution orders President Trump to terminate the use of United States Armed Forces to engage in hostilities in or against Iran. It passed mostly on party lines.
