Eastern Washington University’s Health Education Center is presenting mental health training sessions for firefighters and emergency medical services personnel. The 8-hour class gives responders the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care. There will be three sessions with the first taking place Feb. 6. at Moses Lake Fire Station 1 on E. 3rd Ave. beginning at 8:00 a.m.
