The driver charged leading Moses Lake police on a pursuit last October takes a plea deal. Prosecutors say James Milner pleaded guilty to felony eluding and hit-and-run
in connection with the chase that started on Patton Boulevard then ended when he sheared off a utility pole on Westover Boulevard. The plea deal also included an outstanding warrant and carried a sentence of just over a year. Investigators say Milner told them he took off because he didn’t want to go back to jail.
