State lawmakers are considering bills permitting tribal casinos to open sports books similar to the ones in Las Vegas. Sports betting is expanding in the United States following a 2018 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that allowed for it to be legalized in every state. So far a dozen states including Oregon allow sports betting. There will be no betting on collegiate athletics to make sure those contests aren’t corrupted.
