A string of suspicious haystack fires in Grant County appears to have stopped and authorities say a monetary reward may be one of the reasons the arsons have stopped. The Arson Alarm Foundation added $10,000 to the $5,000 offered by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects. In 2019 there were 15 haystack fires with officials saying 12 of those were deliberately set. So far no arrests have been made.
