Moses Lake’s deputy mayor removes the word “deputy” from his title now that Dr. David Curnel was sworn in to his new role on Tuesday. He succeeds Karen Liebrecht who was the city’s first woman mayor. She is now Curmel’s successor as deputy mayor. Curmel started his term as a City Council Member in January 2010 and his current term expires in December of 2021.
