First degree murder charges are being brought against a 70-year-old Cashmere woman in the death of her 96-year-old mother early Saturday morning. Police say Anita Jones called 9-1-1 to report she killed her mother and officers responded to the Pioneer Avenue residence where Jones was taken into custody without incident. The cause of death and the victim’s name was not made available. Jones is now being held in the Chelan County Regional Justice Center.
