The Royal City man accused of murdering his father is now ordered to undergo a diminished capacity evaluation. Jonathan Torres was previously found mentally competent to stand trial for the 2018 death of 58-year-old Jesus Torres Flores. A Department of Social and Health Services expert will conduct the evaluation at the hall where Torres is being held on $1 million bail. Prosecutors say Torres killed his father as they were in a vehicle on the way back to their home.
