ML PIT Homeless Count Released

The results of Grant County’s point-in-time homeless count that took place in January are released and it showed a decline from last year. According to the Grant County Homeless Task Force 82 unsheltered individuals were counted which is six fewer than in 2018. The count has been steading lower over the last five years. The main cause of homelessness was family rejection, followed by job loss and eviction. Over two out of three indicated having some sort of disabling condition such as behavioral health issues.
