Soap Lake police K-9 Billy will soon have a bullet and stab protective vest provided by a donation to Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The vest is sponsored by Shana Greene of Newcastle and will be embroidered with the sentiment “honoring those who served and sacrificed,” Vested Interest in K9s is a Massachusetts-based nonprofit that’s provided more than 4,000 custom fitted protective vests worth over $7 million.
