Grant County settles a lawsuit with REC Silicon over property taxes the company paid between 2012 and 2015. The $13.5 million settlement calls for REC to pay Grant County $3 million by December 15 and $1.75 million each year for the next six years. The county brought a similar lawsuit in 2013 covering taxes for 2010 and 2011 and that suit was also settled. REC shut down their plant on July 15.
