Coulee City’s former police chief faces charges for collecting unemployment while on leave in 2012 from an on-the-job injury. Prosecutors say Brenda Lynn Cavoretto collected over $67,000 in benefits between 2015 and early 2020 as she worked photographing herself and others as pinup models. The state department of Labor and Industries began their investion into Covorertto’s employment activities in the spring of 2019. She is due in court on Monday.
