The Northern Columbia Basin Rail Project gets the go-ahead from federal administrators after a three-year-long environmental review. The project creates rail access to land designated and zoned for industrial use along Wheeler Road and the Grant County International Airport. State funding was awarded in 2015 and 2016 so with the federal approval those funds can be released to begin the project. There’s been no completion date made available.
