Grant County Fire Districts 10 and 11 will become one after voters overwhelmingly approved a measure during Tuesday’s special election. The districts cover Royal City and Rural Othello and the merger is to be completed by the end of July. The new district will be named Royal Slope Fire & Rescue and Fire District 10 & 11 Fire Chief Eric Linn will remain fire chief once the two agencies merge.
