Flood Damaged Cars Making It To WA

Attorney General Bob Ferguson and state consumer officials are warning potential used car buyers to double check the vehicle to be sure it wasn’t damaged in one of the recent hurricanes. Ferguson’s office says buyers shouldn’t be fooled by a clean exterior as the damage from flooding isn’t readily apparent. Experts say to check places such as under the dash or under the carpeting for signs of moisure or corrosion and run a vehicle ID number check to be sure the record is clean.
