MLPD Gets Federal Grant To Hire Officers

A federal grant given to the Moses Lake Police Department means that two additional officers will be added to the force. The money from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Community Oriented Policing Services Hiring Program provides up to $125,000 per officer over the three-year life of the grant. Chief Kevin Fuhr says they are moving forward to hire the two officers as soon as possible. Pasco and Federal Way police also received grants to hire officers.
