Othello School District Taxpayers To Vote On Construction Bond

Othello School District taxpayers will be voting in February on a $61.4 million construction bond. If approved the bond would fund building two new schools and the expansion of the existing high school. The board says the bond would cost homeowners 96 cents of every $1,000 of assessed property values. According to school officials say elementary schools are at 125 percent capacity, and the middle and high schools are at 110 percent capacity.
