Othello School Board To Vote On Proposing A Construction Bond

Next month the Othello School District will decide on asking voters to okay a construction bond for the funding of two new schools and the expansion of the existing high school. The board says the bond would charge homeowners 96 cents of every $1,000 of assessed property values. School officials say elementary schools are at 125 percent capacity, and the middle and high schools are at 110 percent capacity. If the board votes to put the bond out for a vote, it would go on the Feb. 13, 2018 special election ballot in Adams County.
