20 Tons Of Pot Confiscated In Drug Busts

A series of drug busts between August and September conducted by a multi-agency response in Grant, Adams and Franklincounties has resulted in over twenty tons of illegal marijuana being confiscated along with the removal of dozens of illegal firearms and ammunition plus hazardous and banned chemicals, pesticides and fertilizers. According to the Grant County Sheriff’s office 27 search warrants were served and in addition to the drugs and weapons around $55,000 in cash was seized along with numerous vehicles and some construction equipment. The State Patrol assisted with the busts along with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the U.S. Army 10th Civil Support Unit and the state Department of Ecology.
