Free Firewood Available From Norse Peak Wildfire

If you’re in need of firewood this winter you can get some for free but it’s going fast. The free firewood comes from trees cut down by firefighters to contain the Norse Peak Fire near Cliffdell. The U.S. Forest Service has made available 150 cords of firewood for personal cutting and a spokesperson says the wood will likely be gone by Sunday. The logs are stacked at the Indian Flats Trailhead along State Route 410, about 26 miles northwest of Naches.
