Two West Nile Virus Cases Confirmed

Washington has its first confirmed cases of West Nile Virus for 2017.

According to the Spokesman-Review two cases were reported by the Spokane Regional Health District and there may be a possible third case where the victim contracted the virus outside of Washington.

The first case of West Nile was found 11 years ago and in 2006 Washington had nine confirmed cases one of which killed an elderly Benton County woman.
