Ferguson Files Suit To Block Ending DACA

Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson today joined 14 others Attorneys General in filing a lawsuit to halt President Donald Trump’s executive order ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

On Tuesday US Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the Trump administration would end the DACA program in six months.

According to the lawsuit the President’s decision to end DACA not only causes immediate harm to hundreds of thousands nationwide, it also directly injures colleges and universities, employers and state economies by removing the protections that allowed Dreamers to study and work without fear of deportation.
