State Unemployment Unchanged Again

Once again there’s been no change in Washington state‚Äôs unemployment rate.

The Employment Security Department released the July unemployment figures on Wednesday and reported the unemployment rate of 4.5 percent held steady for a third consecutive month.

The national unemployment rate is 4.3 percent.

ESD says there was a net gain of 1,600 jobs in July even though the private sector shed 3,700 jobs and since July of last year the state has added over 85,000 jobs.
